Navy Helicopter Crash Kills 3 In Texas

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — Investigators are looking at wreckage to find out why a Navy helicopter on a training mission crashed in Texas, killing three crew members and injuring a fourth.

The chopper went down last night near a near a 971-foot-tall broadcast antenna tower, possible hitting it. A TV station executive says parts of the antenna were on the ground and the beacon on top had been knocked off.

The Navy says it was foggy at the time the helicopter went down in an area that’s mostly flat farmland, about four miles south of Corpus Christi.
