N. Idaho Man Found Guilty Of Killing Child
LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — A northern Idaho man has been convicted by a jury of fatally beating his girlfriend’s 23-month-old son.
The 2nd District Court jury deliberated about five hours Wednesday before finding Stacey L. Grove guilty of first-degree murder in the 2006 death of Kyler Martin.
A coroner ruled Martin’s death a homicide by means of blunt-force trauma.
The jury rejected Grove’s claim that the child had not been feeling well and fell off a kitchen counter.
Grove faces up to life in prison. His sentencing date has not been set.
