Mt. Spokane, Mead run away as winners at Albi Stadium

SPOKANE, Wash. — Mt. Spokane senior Matt Speer threw for 259 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Wildcats past Eastmont, 41-34 on Thursday night at Albi Stadium.
With the win, Mt. Spokane improves to 2-0 this season.
In the second half of the doubleheader, Mead jumped out to a 16-0 halftime lead thanks to three field goals off the leg of Conaire Shaffer including a 46-yard FG. In the opening kick of the second half, Samson Brown returned it 96 yards for the score as the Panthers ran away with it, 39-7.
