More Snow Forecast For Washington Cascades
SEATTLE — The National Weather Service says more heavy snow is possible this weekend across the Cascades.
Forecasters expect as much as 18 inches from Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning.
Heavy snow shut down Snoqualmie Pass for a time Thursday, and the Transportation Department conducted avalanche control operations overnight.
Forecasters say Friday should be mostly cool and dry before the next storm front hits Washington.
In addition to the mountain snow, they say it will bring the potential for light snow this weekend in the Western Washington lowland and parts of Eastern Washington.
