Montgomery Drive reopened after semi pulled down power lines

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A block of Montgomery Drive has reopened after a semi truck pulled down several power lines.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office had closed Montgomery between Dartmouth Lane and University Road while Avista crews made repairs.

According to Spokane Valley Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Investigators, a semi truck pulled several power lines down onto the roadway. They suspect that one of the lines may have been sagging and gotten snacked on the semi, as the truck is below the maximum height allowed.

Avista’s outage map indicated that repairs would be finished around 5:30 p.m.

There were no injuries..
