Montana boy found safe, AMBER Alert canceled

MISSOULA, Montana — A 7-year-old Montana boy at the center of an early morning AMBER Alert has been found safe. The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office canceled the alert at 8:40 a.m. Thursday.
Authorities said the Tyran Ban Campen was abducted by his non-custodial mother, Lanetta Kay Mellstead, and incapacitated father in De Borgia, Montana.
The alert was issued throughout the state of Idaho, as deputies thought they may have been traveling there. The Sheriff’s Office did not say where the boy was located.
