Monster Jam at Spokane Arena has ‘something for everyone’

SPOKANE, Wash. — Monster truck athletes from all over the country will be competing in the Monster Jam this weekend at the Spokane Arena.

Trucks like the Grave Digger, Monster Mutt and Scooby-Doo will be featured along with their respective drivers performing stunts and tricks.

Organizers say the show has something for everyone.

The Grave Digger is a crowd favorite and champion Brandon Vinson will be entertaining crowds against the rival truck, Earthshaker.

Scooby-Doo is driven by the only competing female athlete in the show, Myranda Cozad.

Tony Ochs drives the Soldier Fortune Black Ops, a truck that pays homage to veterans and active military.

“Ten years in the army myself, five tours overseas and that’s what we’re all about, that’s what I like to pay tribute to every time I bring this truck out here on the track,” he said.

Monster Jam starts Friday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. and continues all weekend.

There are two shows on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the final show is Sunday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m.

There’s also a Pit Party on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased at the gate and on the event website.
