The day, which was started in 2009 by celebrity pet lifestyle expert and animal advocate Colleen Paige, is observed every year on Jan. 14.
While dressing up your pet most often happens during Halloween, you don’t have to wait until October for your favorite four-legged friend to look dapper.
Whatever you decide to dress your pet up in, experts warn to make sure they are safe and comfortable.
The outfit should not limit your pet’s movement or their ability to breathe. Also, avoid dangling items because they can be choking hazards.
