Missing pregnant woman found in Montana

The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office found a pregnant woman they thought was strangled and dragged into the woods along Highway 93 North, near mile marker 14. That’s north of Missoula, Montana.

The MCSO Special Response Team was called out Saturday morning after reports of a partner family member assault Saturday, according to a post by MCSO on Facebook. The male suspect was accused of strangling and assaulting the pregnant woman and then dragging her into the woods.

Authorities shared an update Saturday around 2:30 p.m. that they had talked with the woman and offered her medical care.

She requested that she not recieve any more help from law enforcement. A post by MCSO noted the incident is still under investigation, but the suspect is not being sought on charges related to this case, although he does have unrelated outstanding warrants.

The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Tribal Police, Forest Service, Montana Highway Patrol, and the Two Bear Air rescue helicopter.
