Missing Kootenai County man found alive

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — A Kootenai County man was found alive Wednesday afternoon in the Lost Creek area near Pritchard. He was rescued by helicopter and taken to a hospital.

According to the Shoshone County Sheriff’s office, 39-year-old Jay Deming was first reported missing Monday at 6 p.m. after last being seen around noon the same day. He was walking his dog in the area and never returned.
