Missing Climber Found At Rocky Base Of Cliff
MAZAMA, WA — The body of an avid rock climber was discovered in a rocky area off Lost River Road near Mazama.
Ryan Triplett, 31, was supposed to be climbing in the Goat Wall area of the hiking trail over the weekend in Okanogan County and when he didn’t return on Monday his wife reported him missing.
Hikers in the area found Triplett’s car and his dog at the base of a cliff. Then at around 2:30 Monday afternoon his body was discovered in a rocky area of what is called ‘Prime Rib.’
Officials say it appears the man had been climbing alone and had fallen sometime on Sunday.
