Memorial Held To Remember Fallen WSU Students

PULLMAN – A formal memorial Service was held for three Washington State University students who were killed in a car accident earlier this month.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Todd Auditorium on Wednesday evening to pay their respects to three WSU students who were killed in a car accident along Highway 95 in North Idaho.

Ben Lockard, Ann Barney, and Tyler Pearson were killed on January 11th when their SUV slipped on some ice and crashed into and oncoming car. The three were on their way up to Schweitzer Mountain for a weekend ski trip.

On Wednesday, friends got a chance to express their emotions and share their thoughts about the three students who were taken in the tragic crash.

“I’m so glad they had each other and left this world together. Ben’s motto was, ‘if you are not living on the edge you are taking up too much space.'” Michelle Clark friend

A candle light vigil was held just for students last week, but this most recent memorial was the first formal event for anyone in the Pullman community to come pay their respects to the students.
