Medical Lake water retested, no E.coli found

MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. — The city of Medical Lake said Wednesday night that a water sample taken in the northwest part of the city came back positive for E.coli. More than 100 homes and businesses between Brooks Rd. and Lake St. were told to drink bottled water or boil tap water before consuming it.

But Thursday morning, the city issued another notice which said the water in the same section had been retested and came back negative for the bacteria. After the retesting the city said, “Your water is safe to consume!”

The city apologized for any inconvenience the E.coli scare may have caused.
