McMorris Rodgers defeats Hill in Washington’s fifth congressional district race

SPOKANE, Wash. — Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R) is holding the lead against Natasha Hill (D) in Washington’s fifth congressional district.

McMorris Rodgers currently has 59.2% of the vote, while Hill is at 40.8%.

McMorris Rodgers has been serving as the representative for Washington’s fifth congressional district since 2005, and also sits on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

Washington’s fifth district includes most of Eastern Washington and 10 counties, including Stevens, Spokane, Whitman, Walla Walla County.

The race was called by the Associated Press around 10 p.m.
