Man thrown from truck, killed in rollover crash near Mica

SPOKANE CO., Wash. — Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal rollover crash that threw a man out of his truck near Mica.
The Sheriff’s Office received a call from someone saying they came across the crash site on Belmont Road. The caller told authorities a truck had gone off-road down an embankment and crashed.
Spokane County Fire District 8 arrived and found the driver, a man in his 30s, dead after being partially ejected from the truck. Deputies and Traffic Unit investigators responded to the scene and partially closed the road while they collected evidence.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the truck was heading westbound when the driver lost control making a curve. The truck went down the embankment and rolled, partially throwing the driver out of the truck.
Investigators say the man was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver has not been identified, and the investigation is still ongoing.
