Man killed in rollover crash near Fish Lake Regional Park in Cheney

CHENEY, Wash. — The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what caused a driver to rollover and crash into a tree near Cheney Saturday morning.

Around 3 a.m. Saturday morning, a Cheney police officer saw a Dodge Ram on its roof at Cheney Spokane Road near Fish Lake Regional Park.

One man was inside the truck and died at the scene.

Investigators believe the man may have been speeding when he took a turn too fast and rolled over hitting a tree.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

SCSO is working to see if the man was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time.
