Man arrested for repeatedly stabbing ex-wife

MOSCOW, Idaho — According to Pullman Radio News, a 24-year-old Genesee man is in custody for allegedly trying to kill his ex-wife in Moscow early Friday morning.
24-year-old Eliseo Deleon-Tye was placed on $100,000 bond Friday afternoon in Latah County Second District Court.
Officers were called to a domestic dispute at a home on West “A” Street around 1:30 p.m.
23-year-old Shelby Deleon was found at the home with multiple stab wounds and was flown to Sacred Heart
Medical Center in Spokane for treatment where she is in stable condition.
She told police that she woke up to her ex-husband in her bedroom and that he started stabbing her.
Deleon-Tye admitted to officers that he stabbed his ex-wife. He also told investigators that a man in a black sedan named Gemini motivated the attack.
According to Chief James Fry, the victim is a University of Idaho student.
She suffered 14 stab wounds to her torso, puncturing several organs, including a lung, her liver, and her colon.
Deleon-Tye is scheduled to be back in court for his preliminary hearing on the April 20.
