Man arrested for allegedly threatening to kill Spokane County Sheriff

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 23 year old man in connection to a series of online death threats aimed at Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich.
Deputies took Jaydin Ledford into custody at his home in Omak Wednesday morning.
The investigation began on February 4th when death threats were posted on Facebook towards the Sheriffs of Washington State who spoke out against I-1639.
One of the threats that Ledford allegedly made stated, “Sheriffs that are non compliant will be shot. by me.”
Another post specifically mentioned Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich stating, “Ozzie Knezovich is gonna get a bullet in his skull.”
There was also a post that stated “I really want to kill a police officer.”
Ledford was to be charged with Harassement – Threats to Kill and Intimidating a Public Servant.
He has been transferred to FBI custody from the Okanogan County Jail
The FBI and JTTF (Joint Terrorism Task Force) are continuing to investigate the threats.
