Logger injured, rescued by helicopter

A logger injured in north Idaho had to be rescued by helicopter Thursday afternoon.

According to the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office, 28 year old TJ Cooper, of Missoula Montana, was working at a site approximately 3.5 miles from Prichard, Idaho when he sustained multiple injures.

Officials say Cooper was hit by a dead tree known as a “snag.” The Prichard – Murray Volunteer Fire and the Sheriff’s Office responded to the job site to provide medical aid to Cooper.

Life Flight was called in and landed at the job site so Cooper could be extracted to Kootenai Medical Center.
