Local survey shows majority of respondents would attend live events by October
SPOKANE, Wash. — A survey from the Spokane Public Facilities District, Spokane Arena and First Interstate Center for the Arts shows the majority of respondents would like to attend live events in the next few months.
The survey was open for one week and received nearly 7,000 submissions.
It shows that 60 percent of people would attend a show by October. It also shows the majority would support new policies in response to COVID-19 protocols, like being required to wear a face mask and sitting six feet apart.
“The overwhelming response and the positive data from the survey will allow us to reshape the event experience and bring people back into our buildings to engage in live events,” said Matt Meyer, Director of Entertainment. “There will definitely be some changes to the consumer experience and building policies, but the positive feedback will help shape these experiences, while keeping everyone’s health top of mind.”
According to a release, the survey results were sent to agents, promoters, managers and local venues.
