Local students encouraged to enter 2020 Congressional Art Competition

WASHINGTON D.C. – Students from Washington’s Fifth Congressional District are invited to participate in the 2020 Congressional Art Competition.
The annual competition serves to highlight and encourage talented students from across the country.
The winning student will be invited to Washington D.C. for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and will have his or her artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for the next year.
Students in grades 7-12 are encouraged to submit their art, which can range from paintings and drawings to photography and mixed media pieces. The artwork must be original in design and no more than 15 pounds, no larger than 26” x 26” x 4” and be prepared for hanging.
Three runners-up will have their artwork on display in Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers’ Spokane, Colville and Walla Walla offices.
