Local non-profit celebrates 10th anniversary of supporting local artists

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane non-profit Terrain is celebrating ten years of bridging the gap between the community’s art establishment and young artists.
When it was formed back in 2008, the goal was to keep local emerging artists from moving to bigger cities with bigger art scenes, and to connect those young artists with experienced professionals.
Terrain has grown into an organization that not only supports local artists, but has put more focus on the arts through events and programming.
Terrain is celebrating its 10 year anniversary with an art gallery that looks back to some noteworthy pieces and performances.
The gallery has at least one piece from every year and features the work of 33 local artists.
You can see it now through March 24 at the Washington Cracker Building on West Pacific.
