Local Memorial Day celebrations set to take place
SPOKANE, Wash. — There are multiple events taking place this Memorial Day weekend in Spokane and surrounding areas to honor those who died serving our country. Take a look:
Memorial Day Ceremony
Medical Lake State Veterans Cemetery

Medical Lake
The Washington Department of Veterans Affairs will host the ceremony, beginning at 11 a.m.
Memorial Day Celebration
Hennessey Funeral Home
2203 N. Division St.
This celebration will feature veteran memorabilia, a working railroad, NASA space display and an antique car show. There will also be live musical performances, cookies, hot dogs, and more.
American Heroes Weekend
Silverwood Theme Park

Athol, Idaho
Free park admission will be offered to all military personnel, veterans, police officers and firefighters, as well as their immediate family members, on May 25, 26, and 27. Identification required.
Clambake on the Lake
Coeur d’Alene Resort
115 S 2nd St
Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
This event will feature an all-you-can eat buffet of clams, oysters, prawns, and more. Cocktail hour will begin at 5 p.m., with a dinner celebration at 6 p.m. at the Hagadone Event Center.
