SPOKANE CO., Wash. — The City of Spokane is still offering free curbside of Christmas trees, but if you are willing to pay a few bucks for local fundraisers to take your tree, you could make a world of difference.

The Ferris High School Senior All Nighter needs funds to hold a celebration and raffle event for graduating students – you can drop off your tree there at 37th and Regal for $5. Alternatively, if you live on the South Hill, you can have them pick it up from your place for $10.

Troop 400, the Boy Scouts Troop based out of Spokane Valley, will also take your Christmas trees – $5 for drop-off and $10 for pickup, as long as you are in the Central Valley/University High area. All proceeds will go to paying for outdoor activities, services projects, training and supplies.

Of course, if you are feeling charitable, consider that $5 and $10 are simply the minimum donation requirement.
