SPOKANE, Wash. – Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day, which focuses on making communities safer by encouraging the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes. 

The United States Drug Enforcement Administration is teaming up with local partners to create designated sites for people to dispose of expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs. 

Vaping devices and cartridges can also be dropped off. 

Below is a list of locations accepting drugs on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

  • Yokes Fresh Market, 12825 W. Sunset Highway, Airway Heights with the Airway Heights Police Department
  • COPS Northwest, 2215 W. Wellesley St. Suite D, Spokane, with the Spokane Police Dept.
  • East Scope Office, 4904 N. Harvard Rd, Otis Orchards, with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office
  • Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St, Spokane, with the Spokane Police Dept.
  • Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, 6438 Kootenai St, Bonners Ferry
  • Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, 8500 Atlas Rd, Hayden
  • Sandpoint Police Department, 1123 Lake St, Sandpoint
  • Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office, 717 High Bank St, Wallace
