Leatherback turtle rescued from Costa Rica runway
LIMON, Costa Rica — It was a close call for a giant turtle in Costa Rica.
The Costa Rican Fire department rescued the leatherback sea turtle from an airport runway in Limon. Leatherbacks are the largest species of sea turtle. They can weigh anywhere between 600 and 1,500 pounds.
