Missing 13-year-old Spokane Valley boy found safe

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A missing 13-year-old boy from Spokane Valley has been found safe, according to the Spokane Valley Police Department.  

According to an alert from Spokane County, Nathan Simpson was last seen around 8:30 p.m. Friday at his home near 13500 East Broad Lane.

Law enforcement searched nearby fields with flashlights and Simpson has since been located.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article said officers were searching near Rogers High School (13500 East Broad Ave). The location was actually 13500 East Broad Lane in Spokane Valley.
