Late Night Talk Shows Resume Wednesday
NEW YORK (AP) — When David Letterman goes back on the air on Wednesday night, for his first new show since the writers’ strike began, his first guest will be Robin Williams.
Unlike the other late night shows, Letterman’s is returning with a staff of writers. Letterman’s production company reached a deal with the writers that also allows them to resume work on Craig Ferguson’s late-night show, which is also owned by Letterman’s company.
NBC’s Tonight Show will also be back on Wednesday, but without writers. And plans call for Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee to appear.
Also coming back Wednesday will be the late-night shows hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and Conan O’Brien. Neither show has said who’ll be appearing.
