GRANT CO., Wash. — Authorities have taken a man into custody who prompted school lockdowns and shelter-in-place orders in the Larson Heights area Thursday morning.

All orders have been lifted.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said the man is one of two suspects in a home burglary on Adair Street.

They say the victim was woken up by two people armed with knives. The victim was told to go into the kitchen and stay there, but was able to call 911. The victim ran to safety while one of the armed suspects fled the home.

The other suspect remained inside the duplex while deputies and the Moses Lake Police Department surrounded it.

The suspect was found inside the attic of a home and was captured by a K9. It is not clear if the suspect who fled has been taken into custody.
