Lakewood police investigate mysterious death
LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Authorities are looking for possible suspects in the death of an Oregon man who was visiting Lakewood for a family reunion.
KING-TV reports that Tony Bower had said he was assaulted by four men when he had gone out to get food and drinks for the reunion on July 18. He was taken to a hospital in Oregon, and later died from his injuries.
Bower’s family says he had left in his 1996 BMW convertible for the Walmart in Lakewood around 3 p.m. and took longer than expected to return to the party at Manitou Park.
Bower later told his father that four men had attacked him for something he had, but he didn’t provide too many details.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Lakewood Police.
