KXLY4 launches Daily Local newsletter; get the news on your time

SPOKANE, Wash — Now more than ever, people are starved for time. It’s hard to keep up with the news while living busy lives. KXLY4 wants to help with that; we’ve launched a specially-crafted nightly email newsletter to help people get content that matters to them at a time that works.

The Daily Local – or the D.L. – features headlines from the Inland Northwest and around the world. Written in a conversational style and tone, it also features lighter news and events along with a nightly “staff picks” sections that features everything from book reviews to recipes, written by the kxly4 news staff.

It’s not the first newsletter offered by kxly4, but it’s the first that’s written specifically with this audience in mind. Instead of automated headlines, these stories are specifically selected and written in a way that feels like an email from a friend. Think “The Skimm” – but, with a local, personal twist.

The D.L. is written nightly by kxly4 producer Stevee Chapman and delivered to inboxes at 8:00 pm. After the kids wind down and you can finally put your feet up and relax, you can catch up on the day in one place, rather than seeking out multiple websites for news and information.
