Kootenai Co. firefighters knock down fire at GW Hunters Steakhouse

POST FALLS, Idaho — Kootenai County firefighters knocked down a fire at GW Hunters Steakhouse in Post Falls on Monday evening.

The fire ignited around 4:30 p.m., with passersby on I-90 saying they saw smoke billowing out of the building.

According to the fire crews, the fire started in the attic, and the building suffered some structural damage. The main area of the restaurant has smoke and water damage.

The restaurant was open Monday morning, but was closed before the fire started. The cause is currently under investigation.
