Kansas is the new No. 1, Zags fall to No. 3 in AP Top 25 poll

SPOKANE, Wash. — Kansas is the new No. 1 in this week’s AP Top 25 poll.

Baylor has moved to No. 2 and Gonzaga has dropped to No. 3. Dayton moved into the top four and San Diego St. dropped to No. 5.

BYU moved up six spots from No. 23 to No. 17 this week.

The Zags took their second loss of the season on Saturday against the 23rd ranked BYU Cougars. BYU took advantage of playing on their own turf and took down the Bulldogs 91-78.

The loss came on the same day that No. 1 Baylor and No. 4 San Diego State both lost.

The Zags return to the Kennel this week. They play San Deigo on Thursday and Saint Mary’s on Saturday.
