John Wall could miss 2 months after knee surgery

Washington Wizards All-Star point guard John Will is scheduled to undergo an arthroscopic debridement procedure on his left knee Wednesday, the team announced Tuesday.

Wall could miss up to two months, according to reports from The Associated Press and ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Wizards said in their statement that a timeline for his return would be provided after the procedure.

Dr. Richard D. Parker will perform the procedure at the Cleveland Clinic Marymount, the statement said.

Parker performed two knee surgeries on Wall in May 2016 and consulted with Wall when his knee started giving him trouble in November.

The Washington Post broke the story of Wall’s surgery Tuesday, adding that the injury would prevent him from playing in next month’s NBA All-Star Game.
