Inland Northwest’s last Pearl Harbor survivor dies at 96

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Inland Northwest’s last Pearl Harbor survivor, Ray Garland, died Thursday in Coeur d’Alene, at the age of 96.
Garland was a member of the Lilac City Chapter of Pearl Harbor Survivors, and was the last regional survivor of the Dec. 17, 1941 attack that led to the United States’ formal entry into World War II.
