Inland Northwest Preps For Freezing Temperatures
SPOKANE — It’s only the first day of Fall and already it’s time to pull out the parka.
A freeze warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Spokane and areas surrounding the city for late Monday through Tuesday morning.
The following areas could freeze: the Washington Palouse, Upper Columbia Basin, Idaho Palouse, Waterville Plateau, Coeur d’Alene and Spokane.
A freeze warning means crops and other sensitive vegetation should be carefully watched.
Spokanimal also warns pet owners to make sure animals have proper supplies to stay warm, dry and fed. Water in pet bowls can freeze, preventing the animal from staying hydrated.
