Indonesia’s Lion Air Orders 56 Boeing Jets Worth $4.4B
SINGAPORE (AP) — Indonesian budget carrier Lion Air says it has ordered 56 Boeing 737-900ER planes valued at more than $4.4 billion at current list prices.
The new purchase brings Jakarta-based Lion Air’s combined orders for the plane to 178.
The airline also acquired purchase rights for an additional 50 units of the plane.
