Indians Light Up The Scoreboard

SPOKANE — The Spokane Indians extended their lead in the Northwest League East standings with a 7-0 rout of the Tri-City Dust Devils Tuesday night.

The Tribe opened the scoring with two runs in the first, and added four more in the second. After that, the bats went quiet until third baseman Matt West hit a solo home run in the seventh. Shortstop Jacob Kaase and left fielder Joey Butler each had three R.B.I. on the night.

The win, coupled with a Boise loss, boosts their lead in the standings to six games. Spokane and Tri-City square off again for the second of a three game series Wednesday night at Avista Stadium.
