If you think today was hot… our historic heatwave will peak on Tuesday at all-time record levels – Kris
We tied our record high at Spokane International Airport today: 105°. That is also our all-time record for the month of June. It is rare territory, and yet, it is going to be even hotter tomorrow. The high for Tuesday will reach 111°, claiming the dubious distinction of Spokane’s highest temperature ever recorded. We are also setting records at night for our highest low temperatures. Expect lows in the mid 70s through the middle of the week.
There is a very gradual cool-down in the forecast, but we will set daily record highs through Thursday, and continue our streak of triple-digit heat through at least Saturday. The EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING has been extended through Sunday evening as a result.
