Idaho high school spring sports seasons and tournaments canceled

The Idaho High School Activities Association Board announced Friday morning that all spring sports seasons and tournaments are canceled for 2020.
“This decision was based on guidelines established by Governor Little, the Idaho State Board of Education, as well as feedback from schools and districts throughout the state,” the IHSAA said in a press release Friday.
Originally, sports were suspended to April 5, then extended to April 20. This week, Idaho Governor Brad Little extended the state’s stay-at-home order to April 30.
It’s very important to note that IHSAA policies based on the Board of Education rules prohibit coaches from organizing and directing team workouts, and they’re not allowed to use school facilities for athletics through May 18.
