Idaho Fish And Game Officials Meet To Plan Big Game Seasons

JEROME, Idaho (AP) — Hunters can weigh in on proposed changes to the big game season during Idaho Fish and Game meetings to be held in Jerome and Burley.

The first meeting is scheduled for Feb. 27 at the Fish and Game regional office in Jerome. The second will be held the next day, at Burley City Hall.

The department is working on implementing the new Idaho Mule Deer Management Plan. The plan calls for aligning mule deer hunting opportunities with the desires of Idaho deer hunters.

Magic Valley Region Wildlife Manager Randy Smith says most hunters want to hunt for mule deer every year and they want to hunt for mature bucks.
