I-90 Snoqualmie Pass now open in both directions

UPDATE: I-90/Snoqualmie is now open in both directions. Chains are required.

Previous Story:

Washington State Department of Transportation is warning that Friday it is not a good day to travel over Snoqualmie Pass.

Chains were required on the pass Friday morning. As of 11 a.m., I-90 was closed eastbound, just west of the summit between Denny Creek (mile post 47) and Easton (mile post 70) due to spin outs.

As of 11:30 a.m., there is no estimated reopening time. WSDOT says the forecast calls for heavy snow all day.
