COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — The city of Coeur d’Alene is giving away free compost this weekend.

Coeur d’Alene has been composting biosolids for nearly 30 years, but this is the first year they’re giving it away.
City officials are telling people to bring a shovel and a bucket to 3500 N Julia Street on May 5th and 6th to collect the compost for their yards and gardens.
