Hot shooting not enough in Bozeman

An incredible performance from beyond the arc just wasn’t enough on Saturday afternoon in Bozeman, with Idaho falling to Montana State, 86-72.

THE GAME

Neither team got out to much of a start, but both were able to find their shots after the opening minutes. The Vandals found some success from beyond the arc, with Cameron Tyson , Trevon Allen and Geno West knocking down triples early. Idaho was unable to gain much momentum, however, with Montana State matching their hot shooting shot-for-shot.

The Bobcats would eventually cool down, allowing the Vandals to stay close as the 3’s kept falling. Khadim Samb got in on the three-party, hitting the third of his career to make it 35-30, MSU, with four minutes to play in the frame. The Bobcats responded from there, going on a 10-2 run to take the 45-32 advantage into the break.

Montana State came out hot in the second half, building its lead to 20 by the 11-minute mark. The Vandals found some success from beyond the arc late, cutting the deficit in the closing minutes before falling, 86-72.
