Home Depot to give workers bonuses following lowered tax rates

Home Depot is joining other companies and passing some of its expected tax savings to employees.

The home improvement retailer is giving workers bonuses following the GOP lowered tax rates from 35 percent to 21 percent.

People who have worked there for 20 years could see bonuses of up to $1,000, while all hourly employees will get at least $200.

Home Depot stock rose .3 percent in pre-market trading.

The company has seen its share price spike more 50 percent over the past 12 months.
