Help find homes for animals in need at this weekend’s ‘Clear the Shelters’ event
SPOKANE, Wash. — If you’ve been debating adopting a furry friend, now is the time to do it.
Several local animal shelters and rescues are participating in the nationwide “Clear the Shelters” event.
More than 1,400 shelters are participating, including the Spokane Humane Society, Spokanimal and the Panhandle Animal Shelter.
Local shelters are hoping to help find homes for 1,000 animals in need. You can go in search of a new pup or kitty at the shelter locations. However, if you are hoping to adopt from the Spokane Humane Society, they will be set up at the PetSmart on Newport Highway.
