Helicopter crashes in Snake River by Ten Mile Canyon, two men exit and leave

ASOTIN CO., Idaho — A helicopter crashed in the Snake River near Ten Mile Canyon on Saturday night.
Whitcom notified Nez Perce County of the helicopter crash, which occurred right in the middle of the river.
Eyewitness accounts report two men exiting the crashed helicopter, entering a car and leaving the scene.
The men were identified as Lewis G. Weiss of Duvall, and Alexander J. Jobe of Sammamish.
Nez Perce County asked Asotin County for an Agency Assist to find Jobe, as they were unable to contact him.
Currently, a dive team is being mobilized to inspect the crash.
This investigation is ongoing.
