Heisman runner-up Bryce Love returning to Stanford
Running back Bryce Love, a Heisman Trophy runner-up this season, will return to Stanford for his senior season.
Love’s father, Christopher Love, told multiple media outlets about his son’s decision late Monday night.
Monday night was the deadline for entering the NFL draft, which is scheduled for April 26-28.
Bryce Love, who rushed for 2,118 yards and 19 touchdowns his junior season, finished second in Heisman Trophy voting behind Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield.
While he did not win the Heisman, Love did win the Doak Walker Award as the top running back in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision and was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year.
