Heavy snowfall hits Silver Valley

SILVER VALLEY, Wash. — The recent winter weather has brought more than three feet of snow to the Silver Valley.
In the past four days, they’ve had more than 47 inches of snow at Lookout Pass Ski resort.
Skiers and snowboarders are loving all the snow at the resort.
“Its amazing. I mean, we’ve had so many inches. This is my first run, knee-deep in powder,” said Gez Scheinder of Coeur d’Alene.
“We had over 22 inches since 4 o’clock last night. We are getting dumped on right now. So far, since Thursday we’ve had 3 feet of snow,” said Casey Hatfield, General Manager of Lookout Pass Ski Resort.
The resort even had two crews of snow groomers come in at 10 p.m. and 3 a.m.
“We started out slow, now things are rocking and rolling,” said Hatfield.
Snow piled up at the nearby town of the resort in Wallace, Idaho, home to the Center of the Universe.
“I knew we would get it again,” said Swede Lettle.
Lettle has lived in the near town of Mullan for the last 11 years.
“After 72 years, I have nothing to complain about!” he said.
