HEAT ADVISORY: our warming trend is almost at its peak! – Kris
There’s a lot more hot, dry weather in the forecast for the next several days, however, the worst of it is almost over. Temperatures will top out right around 100° on Thursday. The hot weather will put us all at an increased risk of heat-related illnesses. That’s why HEAT ADVISORIES AND EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNINGS have been issued for the area. Expect some haze from area wildfires to start the day. Otherwise, clouds will increase throughout Thursday afternoon.
Those clouds will keep things uncomfortably warm overnight Thursday and into Friday. Temperatures will only cool into the upper 60s and lower 70s. Meanwhile, Friday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of mountain showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures, however, will only be a little bit cooler. Expect 90 degree heat to continue through the weekend.
